Samantha Price,A 21-year-old Shropshire woman collapsed and died after suffering a suspected asthma attack while holidaying in the Greek island of Zakynthos.Samantha Price, of Monkmoor Road, Shrewsbury, only flew out of the UK with three friends in the early hours of Sunday. She died after collapsing in a club yesterday morning.

Her mother Susan Minor, also of Shrewsbury, today described her daughter as “perfect” and said she had been looking forward to going on the trip abroad.

“She was just off enjoying her first girlie holiday abroad with three girlfriends. She was really excited about it, she was planning it for a few months,” she said.

Mrs Minor said she understood her daughter had collapsed in a club and been taken to hospital by her friends.

“She was asthmatic and I have been told she collapsed with breathing problems, her friends got her to a hospital and I am not sure what happened,” she said.

“She would do anything for anybody. She was very bubbly, very lively, very friendly.

“She has her own Facebook site and she described herself on there as ‘little perfect’, and she really was.”

The family is now waiting for more news on what happened from authorities in Zakynthos.

A spokeswoman for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office said: “We can confirm the death of a British national, Samantha Price, in Zakynthos, Greece. The cause of death is unknown.

“The parents have been informed and consulate assistance is being provided.”

Samantha, who was working for Tanner Stiles Publishing Ltd in Telford, was a former advertising representative on the Shropshire Star, working in the Shrewsbury office from July 2006 until July last year.

Her former colleagues today paid tribute to a girl full of “fun and laughter”.

Alison Jukes, Shrewsbury area manager, said: “It is just an absolute shock for everybody here. We will miss her terribly. She was a great work colleague and friend.”

    Dear Sam,
We are so sad that your gone, We were just getting to know you. You effortlessly fitted in to the family winning us all over instantly with your sparkling personality. You certainly were a hit with me and “miss Becky” we loved you to bits and and both you and Terry were so good together “You know I love your brother” you’d say pulling Becky to one side on a night out, well as if we couldn’t tell! We are both so grateful to have known you and so grateful for the love you shared with Terry, so sad it was so brief. Love you Sam.

    All our love
