Ex-RAF man breaks his UFO silence
Tuesday 16th September 2008, 11:49AM BST.
A retired RAF officer from Shrewsbury who claims he was silenced by military top brass after tracking six UFOs on a radar is to speak for the first time on the matter.
Former Wing Commander Alan Turner MBE says he was warned not to speak to anyone following an incident witnessed by four civil and six military controllers.
He will be the keynote speaker at the International UFO Conference at Pontefract, West Yorkshire, next month.
Mr Turner was 25 when he joined the RAF as an Air Traffic Controller in 1966 and he finished his career in 1995 with the rank of Wing Commander.
He was awarded the MBE in 1984 and now lives in retirement in Shrewsbury.
“UFOs are a fact and I don’t care who knows because I tracked six of them on several military units during my time in the Royal Air Force,” he said.
Mr Turner said of his experience: “Within a couple of days I was interviewed in the squadron leader’s office by two men who were not identified to me. I, along with all the others in the operations room on the day in question, were told in no uncertain terms not to talk about this incident until cleared to do so.
“I am at a loss to explain what I, and many other people saw that day on radar.”
Mr Turner has never spoken publicly about the events before.

Hmmmm, wonder when his book will be out?

Wing Commander Alan Turner deserves our support for his courage in coming forward. My latest book, “Need to Know: UFOs, the Military and Intelligence” (Pan) contains numerous similar disclosures from military and intelligence personnel, as well as several hundred reports from military and civilian pilots, naval officers, astronauts and other highly qualified observers. I’ve also included numerous previously secret and top-secret official documents, such as a Ministry of Defence report (published for the first time) confirming the intrusions by very large unknown triangular objects over the the Midlands – including RAF Shawbury – in March 1993.

Oh right, well I think I’ll write a book about the time I was on holiday in Nevada on a trailer park and got abducted by Aliens after a long day drinking moon-shine. Would tell you more, but I want people to buy the book!

For the ignorant, and anyone else who may be interested, look at the Disclosure Project web site. Easy to find, even for people of limited intelligence like Lucy W. Come on Lucy, don’t you think it’s time you took a gamble and actually look at the staggering amount of evidence before making silly comments?
BTW, Lucy, books are one of the best mediums for the subject. Information is often disclosed this way as in this case with Timothy Good. There is so much information, probably a hell of a lot more than his publisher would allow. Yes, he makes money from writing books, I am sure you earn money in some way too.

Moon: Yes, I make my money dealing with facts, not speculation.
Sorry, but if Aliens are so clever they have got a craft here, when we can’t even see the planet/galaxy they come from, then surely they would have learnt English and dropped in for tea with our Queen to show that they were an advance and friendly bunch?
It just doesn’t make sense that they decide to hover in sight of a military base when they could look at it from light years away!

isn’t he in emmerdale

Timothy Good- Hey I know your a well respected author in UFO circles BUT the triangular flying objects you refer to are the stealth bombers developed by the USA they were flown quite often in secret missions over Morecambe in the late 80′s and other parts of the country.
And Timothy I really have to ask you – considering the bumbling world leaders ie Brown, Bush, Blair, Major etc do you really think world governments have the ability to keep UFO’s secret?
The vast majority of UFO sightings are secret classified military equipment testing

Well spotted Spencer – I’ve been taken hook line and sinker, this is a spoof!
Good point Y Mab, if they cant keep Family Credit recipents a secret, there’s no way they’d keep UFOs a secret. I’m a disk would have been “lost” by now.
Has anyone made a Freedom Of Information Request for these “facts”?

Isn’t the answer in the subject? They are UNIDENTIFIED Flying Objects.Quite simple, next question…

Lucy W, and others. Do take a look at the evidence. Do not believe that our government has anything to do with this.
It has little to do with the government we know and love. Look up the word ‘manipulation.’ This is a government favourite. They manipulate us all one way or another, don’t let them manipulate your mind too, it’s too precious. Use some commone sense, use some of that intelligence you have. Look at Dr. Steven Greer’s web site, The Disclosure Project.

Wasn’t the RAF Shawbury sighting debunked as the Dyfed-Powys police helicopter chasing someone up the A49? Having said that there is an awful lot out there that is still unexplained. Jenny Randles in one of her books recounts discussing UFO’s at Shawbury with a couple of people intimating that they had tracked strange objects on radar. Suggest you read some of Timothy Goods books – generally pretty balanced an non sensationalist.

Lucy W i can’t work out if you are a little girl or an old woman. But your comments are always immature and disrespectful and lack any trace of humour!

Tish!: Ooo, err! Funny, but I’ve never actually read any of your comments on here, so I am unable to return my opinion of your comments. You sound very much like a clone of someone else on here who doesn’t see eye to eye with me on here and trades personal abuse when I show them they are wrong. Hmmmmm?
As for my humour, I feel that I am very lucky as I can always laugh at someone worse off than myself lol.
By the way, is that your real name of have you just sneezed all over your PC?
Emvy is the greatest compliment.

Tish because my friends son can’t say my name properly and the nickname stuck, but i’ll pass your comment on.
Seems i’m not the only one who finds your comments mean!
Emvy??? I wouldn’t envy anyone who can ‘always laugh at someone worse off than myself’.

Tish!: So what makes you laugh or do you not have a sense of humour?
