Theo Walcott was England’s hat-trick hero as Fabio Capello’s side thrashed Croatia 4-1 in their World Cup qualifying tie in Zagreb.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring on 26 minutes and, despite damaging one of his boots in the first half returned to find the net again in the 59th and 82nd minutes.
Wayne Rooney grabbed England’s other goal on 63 minutes, with Mario Mandzukic scoring the consolation goal for Croatia in the 78th minute.
