Hospital for two in crash

Monday 1st September 2008, 10:10AM BST.

A man had to be airlifted to hospital after a crash in Powys.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa and silver Citroen collided in Llansantffraid-ym-Mechain yesterday, shortly after 1pm.

A man was airlifted to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital, while paramedics took a young woman, who suffered minor injuries to the same place.

A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: “One of the cars was left on the carriageway but the other ended up in a field.”
