Four of the best at bottom

Saturday 30th August 2008, 11:50AM BST.

Four-tune favours the brave – and that’s what strugglers Childs Ercall and Donnington Wood were last night in their bids to avoid bottom spot in the Furrows Shropshire Premier Bowls League.

Ercall picked up four points away to champions elect Castlefields while Donnington won three of the last four at the Bayley to match them, only to remain two points adrift in the table.

Archibald Worthington were the toast of Whitchurch after pulling off a stunning 9-5 away win at Chester Road while Wem USC were delighted to tie at Ford.
