Hundreds of people have logged on to a website to protest against plans to close an outdoor drinking area at a popular Bridgnorth pub late at night.
More than 580 people have joined a group on the Facebook social networking site to pledge support to The Stable Bar, which is behind The King’s Head, in Whitburn Street.
The Save the Stable Bar group already has 590 members made up of customers and Bridgnorth residents angry at plans to close the courtyard area after 10.30pm on Friday and Saturday nights
Bridgnorth District Council has decided to review the licence of the pub following complaints about noise.
Supporters say there is a continental feel to the area which attracts customers.

The Stable Bar has my vote to stay open. As usual some will always want to complain, will these same people complain when the new relief road opens and the traffic disturbs them! Bridgnorth Council need to get out more and realise that the Stable Bar is good for the town!!
