Pharmacy evacuated in fire
Friday 29th August 2008, 11:50AM BST.
Eight workers were evacuated from a Ludlow chemists today and part of the town centre cordoned off as fire crews tackled a blaze in a microwave oven.
The fire at Brown and Francis pharmacy on the Bull Ring, started in an upstairs kitchen/staff area this morning.
It had burned itself out when fire crews got there, but the room was heavily smoke logged.
A spokesman for the pharmacy said: “Luckily the shop has been unaffected and it’s back to business and usual.”
