Fryer scare for restaurant staff

Monday 11th August 2008, 11:50AM BST.

A Shropshire restaurant was evacuated after an industrial-sized deep fat fryer caught fire.

Two fire engines were called to the Little Chef restaurant at Mile End Services, Oswestry, yesterday.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service said it received the called at 9.10am.

Nobody was injured and there were no customers in at the time.
