A Bridgnorth firm could have the solution to society’s housing problems – wooden homes costing as little as £15,000.

The firm has been building log cabins, keeping costs low but with some surprisingly stylish results.

And as the boss points out, if wooden homes are good enough for the Swedes and the Germans, should we not consider them as an alternative to bricks and mortar?

But affordable housing may not be just a pipe dream and many Britons are turning to a credible, wooden alternative.

TP Timber Buildings are expanding to cope with demand for their wooden houses.

Reporter Richard Tisdale takes up the story.
