Dragons stay on the heels of Fields

St Georges made home advantage count in the battle with Wem USC at the top in the Furrows Shropshire Premier Bowls League.
But Wem did pick up four winners at Church Road with Shaun Nagle leading the way with a 21-12 card.
Tony Rhodes was a 21-8 winner for the Dragons as they sealed victory 10-4 with an aggregate of 62 to stay in second place behind Castlefields.
Fields beat bottom side Donnington Wood 12-2 with young gun Michael Beer taking the coppers 21-4 to stay top of the pile.
Chester Road stay in fourth thanks to a 10-4 home win over Meole Brace who are currently going through a sticky patch.
Ifton just edged out Wrockwardine Wood by three chalks to win 8-6 while Archibald Worthington were emphatic 13-1 winners over Childs Ercall in the battle at the bottom of the table.
Bylet made home advantage count as they beat Ford 10-4 while Newport moved above Sir John Bayley with a 9-5 home win.
