Hayley Westenra at show
Thursday 10th July 2008, 11:50AM BST.

Classical singing sensation Hayley Westenra will spend two days in Shropshire when she performs at Shrewsbury Flower Show next month.
Organisers said 21-year-old New Zealander Hayley would appear at the show having only recently finished a tour of Japan.
The young singer will follow in the footsteps of Katherine Jenkins – the Welsh soprano who was at the flower show two years ago – when she appears at The Quarry on August 15 and 16.
Hayley has been hailed as the biggest selling classical artist in the 21st century, with her debut international album Pure going straight in the UK album charts and number one in the classical charts.
She will appear on stage at about 3pm on the Friday and 7pm on the Saturday, accompanied by another young classical performer, violinist Fiona Pears.
Harry Wilson, chairman of flower show organisers Shropshire Horticultural Society, said: “Music has always been an integral part of our show from the outset and this year I believe we have excelled ourselves with the standard and variety of the musical entertainment.
“In addition to Hayley and Fiona, we have continuous music from three military bands, the Ramsay Caledonia Pipe Band, performances from male voice choirs, and the Caribbean steel band which was a big hit last year.”
Tickets for the flower show are selling well and are available from (01743) 234050.
