The show was won by 14-year-old breakdancer George Sampson, from Warrington.

Kate and Gin wowed judges Simon Cowell, Piers Morgan and Amanda Holden by performing a series of dance routines together, with Gin performing tricks such as moonwalking backwards on her hind legs.

Now, the 16 year-old says she has been recognised in the street and flooded with requests to appear at dog shows, schools and prizegivings.

Kate said she has even been in talks over publishing a book and appearing on television adverts.

Currently, Kate is in the midst of a 13-date live tour with the rest of the show’s finalists.

Kate said: “It’s a real buzz to be on stage and I’m not too tired! I think Gin is enjoying it, having all the attention!

“It’s a bit weird because we were out walking last night and some random woman shouted out of the car ‘How are you?’, but I’ve never been to Glasgow before in my life!

“Here on tour it’s just like a big family you are touring with.”

During the tour Kate and Gin perform a dance routine to the Scissor Sisters’ hit song Don’t Feel Like Dancing.

I hope she rakes the money in while she can – Gin is 6 now so there aren’t many years left.
