Staff evacuated in factory blaze

Monday 16th June 2008, 11:51AM BST.

Fifty factory workers were evacuated from a Telford warehouse last night after a blaze broke out.

Firefighters in breathing apparatus fought their way through thick black smoke to get to the flames in an oil heater at Ricoh UK Products Limited, which manufactures office equipment.

The workers were forced to leave the building in Priorslee at about 6.25pm.
