Roberts bid a problem

AFC Telford United’s hopes of signing Burscough defender Dave Roberts could be fading.
Roberts impressed after spending the second half of last season on loan at the New Bucks Head – but negotiating a fee for the player is proving problematic.
Manager Rob Smith said: “We have had no contact with Burscough recently.
“To be fair, we were dealing with Liam (Watson, manager) and he has been on holiday so hopefully we will hear something in the next few days.
“It’s just a fee to sort out but we are a bit apart. I can’t see that changing at this stage so it’s not looking good at the moment.”
