Dancing duo in talent final
Tuesday 27th May 2008, 11:50AM BST.
A talented teenager from the Shropshire border and her moonwalking dog have made it through to the final of ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent after wowing the judges with a dazzling dancing display.
Sixteen-year-old Kate Nicholas, from Norbury, near Whitchurch, and her dancing collie Gin were one of just two acts to make it through to the final after yesterday’s live semi-final, putting them one step closer to scooping the £100,000 prize.
Kate and Gin and dance act Signature will go head to head with eight other acts in the live final on Saturday.
Kate said: “It’s just hard to believe it all at the moment, it hasn’t really sunk in yet.
“Last night’s show was so close and there were four of us who deserved to go through. It is hard to explain how I felt when we went through.”
Their performance, to the Scissor Sisters hit I Don’t Feel Like Dancing, prompted judge Piers Morgan to say: “I think Gin is the most talented dog in the world.”
The final is live on ITV1 at 6.50pm.

Absolutely delightful! Many, many, many congratulations to Kate and, of course, Gin!

I agree with Harold, this was a pleasure to watch, and noted how much the dog himself enjoyed playing this game.
Pure love for one another shows through. Wonderful.

I think she and the dog are brilliant. There were some people in the audience chanting ‘off off off’ which I thought was wrong. fair play to the gal!

I think Kate and Gin are just great. I do hope they win, I for one will be voting for them.
We should have a “Royal Variety Show” with all the semi-finalists.
Good luck Kate & Gin

Signature are just Michael Jackson copyists, with no originality and a whole heap of backing dancers. This showed how just a lovely girl and her incredibly talented dog can entertain. And I reckon that the people shouting ‘off’ were inevitably the supporters of the other acts, with their own agendas. Well done Kate & Gin for getting through such a nerve wracking performance so gracefully.

Wouldn’t it be nice if a few more teenagers found worthwhile hobbies and occupied themselves instead of wondering around aimlessly looking for trouble !!
Are you a teenager by any chance Adam (7)
I am guessing that her parents are very proud of her. Well done !
