Thursday 22nd May 2008, 6:59PM BST.

A Staffordshire Bull Terrier was snatched from a housing estate in Telford and dumped hours later.

Police are hunting the culprits who took the pet from the garden of a house in Blakemore, Brookside, between 11.30am and 12.15pm yesterday.

It has since been reunited with its owners.

A witness told police the dog was enticed out of the garden and then put on a lead and taken away.

Police are especially keen to speak to a woman who witnessed the incident while she waited for the Number 33 bus at Blakemore.
