Youths held over attack

A man in his 40s suffered a fractured arm after being attacked in daylight by two youths in Bridgnorth.

The man, who has not been named, was injured when he was set upon by the youths on Hospital Walk just before 3.30pm yesterday.

The man staggered into the minor injuries unit at Bridgnorth Hospital before being transferred by ambulance to the Princess Royal Hospital, in Telford.

Two youths were arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm.

Bridgnorth police have appealed for anyone who witnessed the attack to call them on 08457 444888.
