The wedding crashers!
Monday 19th May 2008, 11:49AM BST.
A Shropshire bride will not forget her wedding day in a hurry – after her wedding car crashed through a wall with her inside it.
But thanks to a neighbour, the blushing bride, who declined to be named, still managed to make it to the church for the wedding to take place.

The father-of-the-bride said his daughter was left shaken following the accident in Wrockwardine Wood, Telford, on Saturday at about 2.30pm.
He said his 27-year-old daughter had been waiting for him inside her Rolls Royce wedding car when it started travelling down the hill, crashing into a neighbour’s garden wall.
He said: “It was left hanging over the edge of the garden, with a 15ft drop below.
“I had no idea this had happened until she called me to say she’d been in an accident.
“I’d only just left her in the car while I went inside.
“She was in complete shock and we nearly had to cancel the wedding because of the stress caused.”
He said the Rolls Royce driver said the brakes on the car had failed.
The father said: “We’re very upset over what has happened and want to help our neighbours sort out the damage caused as quickly as possible, so I will be speaking to the car firm to see what they will be doing to sort this mess out.
“I’m just thankful no-one was injured.”
Neighbour Victor Plowman said a significant amount of damage had been caused to his wall.
He said: “We couldn’t believe what we were seeing. It completely destroyed the garden wall and the drain. Luckily, it came to a halt on the edge of the bank.
“I dread to think what would have happened if it had continued any further because it was hanging over the property below us and there’s a 15ft drop.”
Mr Plowman said he had only moved his car from where the crash happened minutes before.
‘My car had been parked just outside by the wall just before the incident, but luckily I put it in the garage beforehand,” he said.
“I’m glad I put the car in the garage now because I used it to take the bride to the church, so I was glad to be of some assistance.”
