Rider hurt in accident

Saturday 17th May 2008, 11:50AM BST.

A teenage motorcyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious leg injuries after his bike was in a collision with a car in Shropshire.

The crash happened outside Bradley Hall Farm, Whitchurch, at 3.30pm yesterday.

An ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and the County Air Ambulance from Cosford were called to the scene.

An ambulance service spokesman said a 17-year-old youth was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke-on-Trent with severe multiple lower leg injuries.
