Runaway horse killed on road

A horse which escaped from a field and ran along a Ludlow road was hit by a car and killed.
The horse, which was involved in a collision with a car on Bromfield Road, was one of two which escaped from holdings last night.
A police spokesman said today it was believed the horse hit the bonnet and went over the car, a Skoda Fabia. The horse died in the incident at about 9.50pm.
