Shoppers treated to fashion show
Tuesday 6th May 2008, 11:49AM BST.
Telford Shopping Centre has launched its May calendar with a bright and bold showcase of catwalk chic.
Bosses at the venue unveiled the first day in a week of fabulous fashion yesterday as crowds gathered to watch professional models strut their stuff on the runway to take the wraps off the most popular spring and summer looks.

Every day this week, until Sunday, up to six high-energy fashion shows will take place on the specially constructed stage in Sherwood Square.
The models will be donning the latest looks from all the top high street stores, including Zara, House of Fraser, Debenhams, Top Shop, Monsoon, Next, Principals, Marks & Spencer, and Diffusion.
And every item featured on the catwalk is available to buy within Telford Shopping Centre.
From bold sunshine colours to chic black and white, there is plenty of inspiration for shoppers desperate to update their wardrobes now that spring has finally arrived.
Back with a bang are ethnic prints and tie-dye, together with fabulous twists on safari and nautical themes.
Glamour lovers will be delighted to see deluxe details including ruffles and feathers, and 50s classics including Capri pants.
“The fashion show is back in Telford Shopping Centre by popular demand,” said Tracey Hadley, marketing manager at Telford Shopping Centre.
“We had a really positive reaction from shoppers and retailers to our first fashion show last October so are delighted to be staging our second week-long fashion extravaganza.
“All of the latest fashions from some of the biggest names on the high street will be on show each day, so there will be plenty of inspiration for shoppers keen to see what’s in vogue this season.”
On Saturday Shropshire’s Face of the Future competition winner Cherida Lauriello will take to the catwalk for the first time as she joins the professional models in one of the weekend shows.
