Shetlands run on road

Ponies ran loose on the busy A5 near Oswestry after escaping from their field today.
Motorists had to take action after about eight Shetland ponies ran on to the trunk road at West Felton, Oswestry.
Police were alerted by a motorist who said the ponies were loose on the A5 at about 6.35am near to the Butty Box truck stop.
A police spokesman said: “Officers went to the location and found the ponies in a field. The owner has been alerted and arrangements are now being made to return them to their own field.”
