Communities provided plenty of excitement for people who wanted to enjoy fun on their doorstep.
One of the most colourful events saw canal boat enthusiasts enjoying the Norbury Junction Canal Festival on Saturday and yesterday.
Entertainment included belly dancing classes, folk and rock music from Glen McDonald and dancing from the Stafford morris men. One of the most unusual events was the Green Man Festival, in Clun, which featured a battle between costumed characters.
They fought in front of big crowds at Clun Bridge with the Green Man emerging the victor.
Crowds of people shrugged off seasonal showers to watch The Royal British Legion’s parade in Market Drayton yesterday, featuring standards from across the world.
Event organiser George Bratton said: “It all went very well.”
