Line vows to stay on at Drayton
Friday 25th April 2008, 11:49AM BST.
Market Drayton town manager Simon Line has committed himself to the club for next season.
The news comes as Drayton finalise preparations for one of the biggest games in their clubs history tomorrow.
Line has already overseen promotion from the West Midland League Premier Division. And the Greenfields men could add the Midlands Alliance Championship to their list of honours tomorrow.
News of Line’s decision to remain at the helm is sure to offer an extra spring in the step in the crunch encounter.
“I have already started planning pre-season so I am going to stay,” said Line.
“I had to think about it because it is a big commitment and takes up a lot of your time when you have a young family.
“But I have still got the drive to see the club forward, we have got a terrific squad and I am 99 per cent sure I will stay for next season.”
Drayton will become Alliance champions should they win at Tipton, current leaders Atherstone lose at Shifnal and Loughborough Dynamo fail to register a home victory over racing club Warwick.
“There will be a bit of apprehension but there’s no pressure on us,” said Line.
