New bid to trace missing Lee, 37
Saturday 12th April 2008, 2:30PM BST.
Police today launched a fresh appeal for help to trace a 37-year-old Shropshire man who went missing almost three weeks ago.
Concern is growing for Lee Egan, who was last seen at The Youth Hostel in High Street, Coalport, on March 23.
He had been living and helping staff at the facility, but did not return after going for a walk at about 9pm at the end of a shift.
Constable Pete Simmonds, of Telford police, said: “Lee failed to turn up for his next shift, and when staff went to his room, it appeared he had not returned from his walk.
“A comment discovered on a notepad gave cause for concern and police were notified. Most of his personal items were left in his room.”
Mr Egan is described as white with short brown hair.
He is about 6ft, of athletic build, normally clean shaven and has brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a grey zip-up jacket.
Anyone with information about Mr Egan’s current whereabouts is asked to call police on 08457 444888.
