McIndoe delight at Wolves exit
Thursday 10th April 2008, 11:40AM BST.
Michael McIndoe today cranked up the stakes ahead of Saturday’s clash with Wolves after claiming leaving Molineux was the ‘best thing I could have done’.
The Bristol City winger is sure to face a hot reception from the 2,000 Wolves fans at Ashton Gate this Saturday after also claiming the play-off defeat to Albion “affected the whole club.”
“I don’t want to be in the play-offs,” said McIndoe, who was only a qualified success at Wolves before being sold for £400,000 last summer.
“Losing is heartbreaking and ruins your summer. It can be very hard to take and, after we lost to West Brom, getting out of Wolves was the best thing I could have done.
“Going out in the semi-finals affected the entire club.
“There’s only one way to make up for that disappointment and that’s to win automatic promotion with Bristol City this season.”
