Shrewsbury Town came agonisingly close to grabbing three vital points at Morecambe but had to settle for just one.
The Shrews fell behind to a free kick from Carl Baker and then came under sustained pressure before Marc Pugh equalised from a Dave Hibbert cross.
Substitute James Constable just missed out on a couple of chances as the Shrews chased a win and Dave Hibbert found the net but had the goal ruled out for offside.
