What rural communities? – There are none. Most of Shropshires rural areas are now occupied by commuters who don’t even know who their neighbours are and bereft of local shops, parish halls, community centres, family doctors, village policemen and now soon to be post offices.
Thank God I live in our little village in Cyprus where we have all of the above and at the cost of €70 (£90) a year council tax.
