Spring snow on way for county
Saturday 5th April 2008, 11:40AM BST.
Snow is on its way to Shropshire as freezing temperatures hit the county just a week after British summertime began, forecasters warn.
Shropshire Star weatherman John Warner said the county would get a “repeat performance” of the Easter break.
He said temperatures were expected to drop to minus 1C (30F) tonight and would reach 7C (45F) tomorrow daytime.

“This is going to be a repeat performance of what happened over Easter but there is a slightly greater threat of snow for Shropshire this time.
“Shropshire is most likely to see some snow tonight and tomorrow but with the cold air stream we will get sunshine too.
“Any snow will melt pretty quickly,” he said.
Less than a fortnight after a white Easter, the weather became significantly more spring-like earlier this week with temperatures soaring to 18C in a number of places across the UK.
