Huts found use as village halls

Here we have the village hall at Church Stoke. The village name incidentally is written as two words on this postcard, but you often see it written as Churchstoke too.
Note the tennis court on the right. A lot of village halls were built in the 1920s and 1930s – some were surplus military huts – and we’re going to guess that this photo dates from that period.
