Big cat experts could visit
Friday 21st March 2008, 12:00PM GMT.
Experts could be sent to Shropshire to study growing evidence of big cat sightings.
People in the county are urged to log sightings on the British Big Cat Society (BBCS) website as soon as possible to allow experts to assess the situation.
If footprints or other evidence remains at the scene teams could be sent to the county for further investigation.
BBCS spokesman Danny Bamping said: “There has been activity in Shropshire for quite a while and in other bordering counties as well.”
The society’s website is www.britishbigcats.org
