Cash boost for projects

Wednesday 5th March 2008, 5:58AM GMT.

Two community projects in Powys are to benefit from £307,500 of Government funding.

Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations will receive £300,000 and Victoria Hall in Llanwrtyd Wells will receive £7,500.

The funding is part of more than £5.6 million given to community projects across Wales by the Community Facilities and Activities Programme operated by the Welsh Assembly Government.

The scheme aims to help community or voluntary organisations provide facilities or carry out activities to promote the regeneration of communities.
