Readers send their flood photos

Star reader Iain MacLeod-Thomson has sent us this aerial photo of flooding in Shrewsbury. He says: “The original river bank is the tree line running along the bottom part of the picture.”Here is another selection of flooding photos taken by readers in Shropshire and Mid Wales.

    Just looking at these flood photo’s which got me wondering.
    Are they going to put houses/offices on the site of the old Gay Meadow? If so is the building going to be built on stilts? Just wondering!
    The site does seem to flood every year.

    good point Brian, i expect the developers were hoping to chuck up a block of flats, make a fast buck, and then let the local council pick up the tab for a flood defence around it !!
