Shrews man steps down

Shrewsbury Town FC chief executive Steve Wellbeloved is stepping down less than a year in the role following the appointment of a new managing director.
Mr Wellbeloved said he would be leaving as part of a “phased process” after the appointment of former Macclesfield Town chairman Rob Bickerton as managing director last week.
In an interview with the club’s official website Shrewsweb Mr Wellbeloved denied that his departure was because of the arrival of Mr Bickerton.
