Fight - Ricky TomlinsonRoyle Family star Ricky Tomlinson will be delighting an audience when he brings his latest show to the Music Hall in Shrewsbury in February.

The comedy actor performed before a sell-out crowd at the venue last year and will be hoping for similar success when he stages his Laughter Show on February 27 at 7.30pm.

The Laughter Show will feature three of his friends including top comedienne Pauline Daniels, comedy impressionist Stevie Riks and vocalist and comedy entertainer Tony Barton. Ricky will be hosting the evening and appearing throughout the show.

Best known for his role as Jim Royle in the Royle Family, Ricky has also appeared in a number of other roles in television shows such as Brookside and Cracker. He also played the lead role in the film Mike Bassett: England Manager.

Adam Burgan, programme and marketing manager at the Music Hall, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming back Ricky Tomlinson. He is one of the UK’s favourite TV comedy actors and we look forward to his return with another great night of entertainment.”

Ricky is just one of a number of stars who will be taking to the stage for the venue’s spring season. Other stars who will be playing the venue include singer Barbara Dickson who will be performing in the town on February 22 as she celebrates 40 years as a performing artist with a national tour.

Singer Elkie Brooks, who had a string of hits in the 1970s and early 1980s, will also be performing in the town on May 16.
