Mistake on postcard’s caption
Friday 21st December 2007, 11:40AM GMT.
The original caption on this postcard photo, which must be about 100 years old, describes it as the “Lunn Hole, Coalbrookdale”.
This must be a mistake, as the normal spelling is Lum Hole, or sometimes Loam Hole. The photographer was W.S. Allcock and the colour will, of course, be false colour.
The postcard was loaned to us by Diana Humphreys of Maesbrook.
