Baker wins in Mauritius
Tuesday 18th December 2007, 11:39AM GMT.
Shropshire golfer Peter Baker pulled off his third win of the year in Mauritius to celebrate his return to The European Tour.
The 40-year-old former Lilleshall Hall man carded a final round 68 in the Mauritius Open to win by three shots from Jose-Felipe Lima.
Baker had to come from behind at Belle Mare Plage. But he kept his head to follow up his earlier victories in Switzerland and Brittany before admitting: “This is a superb way to end the year.”
