Yakubu is top points earner

Powerful striker Yakubu was the top points scorer for ShropshireStar.com Fantasy Football managers this week with nine points.
The Everton forward scored all three goals in his side’s 3-0 win over Fulham.
Sulley Muntari was the match winner as Portsmouth beat Aston Villa 3-1. The dynamic midfielder scored two fantastic goals, the second worthy of goal of the season, and six points. Carlos Tevez also scored six points for his two goals in Manchester United’s 4-1 victory over Derby.
George McCartney (West Ham) and Alex (Chelsea) both scored five points for a clean sheet and an assist, while Bolton’s Kevin Davies and Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo also scored five points after adding a goal to an assist.
Chelsea, Everton and West Ham kept clean sheets, but Liverpool and Arsenal suffered shock defeats to Reading and Middlesbrough.
With a £2,000 top prize up for grabs, along with eight £100 manager of the month prizes – all provided by Wickes – there is still time for new players to join.
If you fancy yourself as a rival to Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger or Rafael Benitez, this is your chance to prove it.
HOW TO PLAY:
- Go to www.shropshirestar.com/fantasyfootball
- Enter the registration password: Wembley
- Choose your team, from a budget of £55 million. It must contain no more than two players from any one Barclays Premier League club and conform to a 4-4-2 or 5-3-2 formation.
- You’ll receive a weekly e-mail telling you how your side performed and looking ahead to the coming games.
- It’s easy to switch players in and out, with a maximum of 25 transfers allowed in total once the scoring has begun.
- The only way you will be able to make changes is by using the transfer password, which will be printed in the Shropshire Star every Wednesday.
