Bah to the Humbugs!

I like Christmas, writes our Teen Blogger Rhian. All the build up of shopping in stores decorated with Christmassy stuff, selecting and wrapping presents, drawing nearer to the day when the family get together and everything feels special, it’s exciting.
Maybe I’m not very churchy and maybe I’m not a big thinker like those who moralize about the commercialism of Christmas or it’s environmental impact, but I like to keep it simple.
I used to enjoy the Navtivity plays we did at school, I like going to the church carol service on Christmas Eve and whether I’m a good Christian or not, I despise all those terribly politically correct puritans who always have to stir up trouble by deleting Christmas from cards calling it “Winter Festival” and other such rubbish.
It’s wrong to blame minority communities. They might not celebrate it themselves, but they often have much more of the “Christmas” spirit about them than the “holier than thou” bureaucrats who feel obliged to justify their existence by causing upset.
It’s “Christmas” – a time for goodwill to all people. Let’s just all do our best to make it good for everybody and enjoy ourselves – safely.
Merry Christmas.

I think Christmas is started way to early, by the time it comes to December alot of people are already fed up with it.
There is no need for decorations in some towns in October like we have seen this year.
Now it’s all about spending money.

I work for the a government office and we are banned from putting up decorations after one person in the office complained last year that they found the celebration and decorations insensitive. So the other 200 people have been told to be more sensitive to other religions and not put any decorations or tree up now. Bah Humbug or completely insane ?

‘Mr pc’ I bet they are still happy to have to time off at christmas.
It’s all about tollerence. We tollerate all the other religions in this country so they should do the same when they come over here.

It’s not the minorities though, is it? It’s those pathetic indigenous Brits who can’t achieve the recognition they crave by any other means that by crying Health and Safety or Equality and Diversity. What’s ten times worse is that there aren’t many managers around these days with the guts to look these saddos in the eye and say “Don’t be so flipping stupid!”
