Having been born and raised in Shropshire close to the Severn, flooding is a way of life sadly. So much so, that I have developed web feet.I wonder if any other readers have evolved such oddities. Maybe long necks or gills.

i was born in shrewsbury and can remember the bad floods in the town in 1947 following the terrible winter. i recall standing on kingsland bridge looking down on a tiny cottage alongside the river and severely flooded with an old lady shaking her fist at would be rescuers
