Residents in Morda, near Oswestry, are hoping to get the name of their street changed after discovering it has another, rather rude, meaning.

People living in Cae Onnan have discovered that the spelling of the name actually translates into “Sex Act Meadow”.

When spelled with an ‘E’, Cae Onnen means the more innocent Ash Meadow.

Video Journalist Tom Moore went to see what all the fuss was about . . .

    Presumably from the biblical Onan?
In which case I could probably find a slightly more specific translation. Something similar to ‘Winker’s Meadow’ perhaps?

Given the people I know from Morda, they should probably all be living here.

I have no objections to “sex act meadow” but as a reformed smoker I find Ash Meadow quite offensive.
