To chav or chav not

hoodies.jpgWhen you work full time you get to meet a lot of people, writes our Teen Blogger Rhian. Some are good and some can be bad but the worst kinds of people that I’ve met I have to say are these stereotypes.

You know the sort, the hoodie which they got of a cheap market, some form of expensive trainers, beer in one hand and something to smoke in the other (Oh yeah can’t forget the miserable look on their face which says “Don’t mess with me”) which are commonly known as a ‘chav’.

Always causing chaos because it’s apparently funny and their day consists of sitting outside some shop in the trolley bins getting cold.

Yeah what a great way to live. NOT.

Maybe it’s just me, but why would anyone want to aspire to that? Honestly? Being watched all the time by police and security guards and constantly have people look their noses down at you.

Yeah what fun that is, you people must be proud. One, was at my work the over day, mouthing off at my colleagues because she blinked and he said: “Why do people always judge us?”.

Oh I wonder why? Erm let me think? Maybe it’ s because of your whole attitude and way of life.

I know the whole idea of a teen blogger is to support teenagers but you must understand why people dislike that part of the teenage population and they only have themselves to blame.

They will probably read this and think “Whatever, gonna beat her up now”, or even laugh and ignore everything I’ve written but they know I’m right.

At least I’m confident to have my own style. They don’t know what they’re doing at the end of the day, apart from looking like right idiots and being the laughing stock of Telford.

So Rhian you don’t like people who wear different clothes to you then. Do you not think that talking to these people and finding out about them is better than just asuming they are all ‘idiots’. You may find that they have nowhere to go and hang out by shops cause there is nothing for them to do. And just cause they ware ‘hoodies’ doesn’t mean they are bad people (i think my mum owns a hooded top).
Im not saying that all chavs are nice people but i’m sure there not all as bad as the press makes out.
Rhian you wouldn’t like it if the public took a disliking to you just because of the top you are wearing.

Each to their own, this is why we are proud to live in Britain. Obeying the law gives you the right to wear what you like and follow the life style you want. It is only when these conflict with the law any action is needed. Supporting Telford United is nothing to aspire to, but people still do.

There are a few chavs I know as mates who are actually quite decent.
    Chavvy, but decent.
Yes, their attitude is still there, but it isnt as bad as others.

Not all “CHAVS” are the same.

My son gets Greb shouted at him all the time because he wears combats and dark t shirts and it is always by chavs so you can see why some of them can cause upset..What we wear is up to us but it is easier to be mainstream (chav in this case)than to do your own thing and have a bit more individuality. There have always been problems with the ways that people dress from punks to mods or Man u to Arsenal, that is the way society has always been.
I believe you should be as individual as possible but mainly be nice.

For Gods sake we all know why the majority of this low life wear hoods – It’s so that they won’t be recognised on security cameras when either stealing from stores or assaulting easy targets.
If you go into a bank you have to remove a crash helmet if your’e wearing one – So whats the damn difference?
