Growing up comes to us all

Our Teen Blogger RhianGrowing up isn’t really something children, teenagers or even adults like to think about and we don’t really think about until it happens, writes our Teen Blogger Rhian.

We can’t stop it as much as we would like to, it’s just one of those things we have to deal with.

When we’re at school we are always being pushed into thinking about what we’re gonna do when we leave and how important it is.

Some of us leave school knowing exactly what we want to do, others leave it until it’s too late and some just wait and see what life has to offer them.

No matter what you choose you can change your mind. I wanted to go college and then join the RAF, but now I’m not so sure.

Kids are forever saying how they wish they were older and how great it will be but when you actually get older it’s quite scary.

There’s no one telling how to live your life or what your gonna do today, it’s not planned out like school.

Don’t get me wrong I didn’t enjoy school like the next teenager. but it is a lot easier.

I know I’m only 17 and I don’t have to pay a mortgage or car insurance or taxes but I do have to think about my options now I’ve left college. I don’t regret leaving college as it was the right choice and I left with an A-level and GCSE’s but the point I’m trying to make is don’t rush into anything, don’t think because it’s your final year at school that you have to have a plan of what you’re going to do for the next five years.

Just have an idea as it always helps.

It’s a big world out there and people grow up so fast these days don’t waste it in a career you’re not going to enjoy.
