No Way Jose . . .
Thursday 20th September 2007, 3:33PM BST.
So, the “special one” is out on his ear, writes our News Blogger David Burrows.
No, despite his claims to the title, our news editor (who, worryingly, is currently singing If I Ruled The World) hasn’t left for pastures new.
Jose Mourinho moved from the back pages to the front courtesy of falling out with his boss.
Now this is clearly more important than the possibility of foot and mouth in the Midlands or the situation with Robert Mugabe.
How else do you explain Gordon Brown’s eagerness to comment on the matter.
Why he thought anyone would care about what he thought of the Chelsea manager is anyone’s guess. I
mean, what does he know about football . . . he’s Scottish.
He’s not the only politician possibly forgetting why he ran for office.
Montgomeryshire MP Lembit Opik, a man who told us it was a private matter when he started seeing Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia, has appeared in a spread for Hello! Of course Gabriela’s sister Monica wasn’t too far away.
I’m actually surprised he didn’t take a shine to the other twin, actually.
Given his skills with a certain musical instrument, I would have thought he’d delight in the chance to introduce themselves as: “I’m Lembit and this is Our Monica”.
