Crew frees stuck dog

Monday 27th August 2007, 11:15AM BST.

A dog had to be rescued by firefighters after getting itself stuck under a portable building on a Telford industrial estate.

The animal became stuck after crawling under the building in Heath Hill Industrial Estate, Dawley, yesterday at about 3.30pm.

Firefighters from Wellington fire station were called and used air bags and other equipment to free the dog.

A Shropshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said the equipment was used to lift up the portable building without causing damage.

“The dog appeared to have gone under to get something,” she said.
