Amy WinehouseEccentric soul singer Amy Winehouse may pull out of this weekend’s V Festival on the Shropshire border with exhaustion. The star was last week admitted to hospital after collapsing. Reports have suggested she is planning a spell in rehab for drug and drink problems.

In recent weeks she has failed to show up at several festivals and a Rolling Stones support slot in Germany. Her record label Island today said it was not known if she would appear as planned at Weston Park, near Shifnal, on Sunday.

The spokeswoman for Island said: “At the moment we don’t know if she will be appearing. I’m not sure.”

Her spokesman has said she is suffering “severe exhaustion”, adding: “She is resting under doctors orders.”

Fleur Jervis-Read, a spokeswoman for V Festival, said: “We have not been informed by either Amy’s record company or her management that she won’t be appearing at this year’s festival.

“Unless otherwise informed, organisers are looking forward to her appearing as planned.”

Meanwhile, organisers have added three final acts to the line-up. Americana favourite Martha Wainwright, Indian-influenced Goldspot and singer-songwriter Sam Beeton will all make their first appearances at the festival.

Also on the bill are top acts including The Killers, Foo Fighters, Snow Patrol, Basement Jaxx, Mika and Primal Scream.

Well that may not be such a bad thing as her health is more important. Im only saying that as a non-ticket holder, it would be bery different if I was going though…….
