Castle are rocked in ticket row

Bishop’s Castle are one of 65 rugby clubs to have landed in hot water with the RFU for contravening the terms and conditions regarding the allocation of tickets for the 2007 Six Nations championships.
The club have been hit by a 25 per cent loss of allocation for England’s home internationals for one year from January 1, 2008.
Also punished are Gnosall, who suffer a 15 per cent reduction in allocation.
The measures form part of the RFU’s plan to reduce the number of tickets sold on the black market and brings the number of sanctions handed out in the past seven months to 124.
RFU director Paul Vaughan said: “We are committed to reducing the number of tickets reaching the black market.”
