2. At the town, leave the tow path at a bridge with railings, turn left and cross over to a road junction. Take the signed footpath opposite and follow this alongside a school to a lane by a white cottage.

3. Cross over and take winding path uphill along field edge. Pass through a kissing gate on to a track and on to a junction of three tracks and a lane.

4. Turn right and follow the undulating enclosed track along the base of Dinas Bran until it ends at a field gate. Through the gate and along the top edge of two fields to a lane.

Where this bends left cross the stile to the left of a drive, follow the righthand boundary to a gate.
Pass through and cross to the next field half-left to a stile, cross this and turn left across another stile.

5. Go downhill to a footpath sign and turn right. Continue downhill to cross two stiles which lead in to a farm yard.

Cross the drive then left over a stile. Up the track, bearing right to a stile, as indicated, into a field. The path contours along the middle of this field.

6. After a while, cross a fence-cum-stile and go up the rough track to a gate on to a lane. Turn right down the hill and follow the lane which eventually becomes a narrow track winding downhill back to the A539 and the start of the walk.
