A cabaret night at a Telford pub is one of the latest events organised to raise cash for the appeal, which aims to raise £70,000 to fund a Flying Doctor to join the crew of the Shropshire-based air ambulance.

The event on July 27 is being organised by Jonathan Dulson, assistant manager at the Pheasant at Admaston, along with Emma Hartland. Both will be among the performers on the night, which includes a three-course meal.

“There will be games involving the audience, and some of the acts are going to involve the audience. There will be musical theatre songs, a couple of dance routines, and things like that,” said Jonathan.

Costing £17.50 a head, there will be a 7pm for 7.30pm start, with entertainment beginning at about 9.30pm.

Meanwhile a patient group attached to the Brown Clee Medical Practice in Ditton Priors agreed at a recent meeting to raise cash for the appeal.

As a first step, the Brown Clee Medical Practice Patient Participation Group is planning to put a collecting box in the surgery.
