Gentle glimpse of the past

badger.jpgThis postcard showing Badger church and the village pond is undated, but is perhaps from the 1920s or 1930s.

It was loaned to us by Miss Mary Weaver, of Haughton Drive, Shifnal, who tells us: “For about two years in the 1950s I played the harmonium at St Giles’s Church, Badger, for Sunday services.

“Not to be forgotten, out of the blue I was invited to a golden wedding party of a couple whose wedding I had played at on December 19, 1956.”
